wet a line at the beach

Cloudveil was a sponsor of the 64th annual Martha’s Vineyard Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby, which ended last week. The five-week event is the largest and oldest shore-based fishing tournament in the United States, according to organizer Wilson Kerr. Approximately 3,000 anglers took part in the all-tackle and fly rod divisions and helped raise more than $30,000 in scholarships for island students.

As a record crowd packed the awards ceremomy, two of the top competitors took home Cloudveil 8X Pro Waders, including Brice Contessa, one of the island’s savviest fly guides. Grand prize winners hauled away a new boat and trailer and pickup truck.

Results and news coverage can be found here. Congratulations to the winners!
